A friend of mine a while back introduced me to this music and I found it to be one of the most expressive groups around. I remember listening to Disconnect and shine, and thought these two songs were really great. I just heard another song by them but I don't know what the name of it is because the dumb DJ on the radio didn't mention it. I was wondering if anybody here has ever listened to any of the songs this band has come out with, and if so maybe you can share what you like about one particular song.
I'm not too well-versed in Henry Rollins' music but I like what little I've heard. I love his spoken word stuff though. He's put a bunch of albums consisting of social and political commentaries, stories of being on the road and other random amusing stuff out. His material is so intelligent and on most occasions, hilarious. Also, check out his tv show on the independent films channel. It's sort of in that letterman format but his guests are much more interesting.
I love that song liar. and the other songs I've heard are good as well. he's got substance and he rocks and that is a hard combination to really get. System also have that going on but it's a rare thing, especially nowadays.
I love love love Henry Rollin's voice. Something about it is just so melodic.
I've only heard the stuff he's done with Tool, but I'll definitely check out what he has out there.
